We went to the Grand Canyon. It was pretty good. Better than expected in fact. We drove the mini-van 18 hours with the little ones watching movies off of the laptop, and the Liz and I listening to Harry Potter. The first day we made it to Albuquerque. Then we went on to Williams. The train ride was good. There was a wild Indian running around from car to car. The canyon was.... Well pictures don't do it justice. The train ride home was fun. We got robbed by train robbers. Then is was back on the rode. Back to Albuquerque, and then home. Pretty tiring but it was fun.

Happy day!

I got a call today from the A/C guys. It's the first day that I didn't have to call them. They have the compressor and wanted to know if they could come and install it between 8 and 12 tomorrow morning. Do they really have to ask? I've been after them the whole week. The one thing I do wonder is the whole four hour cushion they are giving themselves? What's up with that?

So only one more night in the hot house. This is very good news. The girls wont be so cranky and neither will I.

still hot

I called the A/C guys today and all they could tell me after putting me on hold for 10 minutes is that it could be tomorrow, or it could be 2 weeks, maybe longer. What the.... Anyway, it's hard to keep your cool when your house is 95 degrees. So far I think i'm doing pretty good. I told some guys at work what was going on and they think I should call the news and get a story going. I don't know if this will help or hurt.

I just got off the phone with the home warranty people and I spoke to someone that actually gave me some answers. The compressor was ordered yesterday evening and is scheduled for delivery on the 30th to the A/C guys. At least I see light at the end of the tunnel.... it's just really bright and so hot! Well the family is in the pool. I've just finished paying bills and think I'll join them.

Hot... really HOT!

The compressor is toast! Burnt and crispy. The good thing is that the $1500 part is covered by my home warranty. The bad thing is that it will be a while.

So last night I purchased a window unit and the four of us slept cool. really cool! The rest of the house is still hot! It cooled down to 85 last night but was 95 during the day.

I hope they get it fixed soon.

#5 in the picture is the part that is bad.

think snow!

A/C is out.

My air conditioner went out. I've been in the pool to cool off. I've taken two cold showers. I'm still hot and can't sleep. So I decided to start a blog. This one will be short because it's spur of the moment.

We've had something like 37 days over 100 degrees and we are in day # 14 in a row. It's been really hot! it's about 90 in the house right now. I think I'll get some ice take another shower and try for bed again.
